QtWeb Internet Browser Specifications
|
Browse the Web with multiple privacy features.
We have to admit that we were a little skeptical of QtWeb Internet Browser. We already have a browser that we like quite a bit, so what would we want with a browser we've never even heard of? Although QtWeb didn't totally knock our socks off, we were pleasantly surprised by how good it actually was.
The browser's interface is quite sleek and attractive, with eight different styles to choose from. Unlike some programs, the browser doesn't try to be cute or fun; it's clean and easy to navigate. The browser's appearance was matched by its performance, which was fast and smooth. The built-in Help file is well-written and does a good job of explaining the browser's features. Customizing QtWeb was a breeze. We liked how easy it was to add and remove elements, such as buttons and the bookmarks bar. The Adblock feature will be familiar to users of Mozilla products, and it works just as well here. The program contains basic privacy and security features, including a private browsing mode. Users who are accustomed to high levels of browser customization, such as that offered by Firefox add-ons, will find QtWeb lacking. But for users who are looking for a lightweight browser that does all the basics and does them well, QtWeb is a great choice.
