We've seen a lot of bad file converters, and we must admit that when it came time to download Leawo FLV Converter, we were in no mood to test drive yet another one. Much to our relief, Leawo FLV Converter was a breath of fresh air: well designed, easy to use, and full of features. Hooray!
The program's interface is sleek and intuitive, and we had no trouble getting started. We liked that the application supports batch processing and that it includes a small viewer for previewing files. What impressed us most, however, was the huge variety of output file types that it offers. Although the only source format it can handle is FLV, these files can be converted into just about any video or audio format you can name, including formats for mobile devices and gaming systems. The program's interface does an especially nice job of organizing all of these options and even offers brief descriptions of each format. Most importantly (and unlike a lot of other file converters we've seen), Leawo FLV Converter actually converts files effectively, without distorting or shortening them. The program's built-in Help file is well-written and thorough, with plenty of screenshots. Although some users may want a file converter that can handle more than just one type of source file, those looking for a tool that specializes in FLV files won't find one more comprehensive than this.
