Installed, without my permission, Yahoo Search as my new home page, obliterating all my existing tabs -- of which there were lots. I've spent considerable time eliminating Yahoo Search and restoring my tabs from memory. Of course, I've lost a few, something that will likely have a negative impact on my work and hence income.I also discovered that I had a few extra "helpful" extensions incorporated into my browser, so those had to be eliminated too.I thought downloads.com vetted these things and issued a promise that they were clear of malware/spyware?
