Florencesoft TextDiff Specifications
|
Find the differences between two text files, such as source code, Word documents, scripts and XML.
TextDiff will also compare Microsoft Word files, if Word is installed as a desktop application. It only compares the text part of Word documents and does not consider the tables, formatting, pictures and graphics. Similarly it compares the text part of Rich Text Format (RTF) files. TextDiff is ideal for software developers and programmers who want to find out what has changed between two hierarchical folders of project files.
It has many powerful options. It can compare at the level of whole lines, words or characters. The colors and styles used to highlight changed text can be customized. Its most powerful feature is to omit unchanged text, revealing just the differences. Text files can be dragged and dropped onto its user interface. Additionally any text that can be copied to the clipboard can be pasted into TextDiff. In this way, it can compare any sort of plain text that the user has an application to open.
