In spite of its simplicity Ahoy is a versatile tool that can be inserted into many applications where it is necessary to keep track, organize and follow up on projects, for managing large collections of text and for storing practical information as documentation library for housekeeping in a professional or private context where an unlimited searchable collection of private notes is a requirement.

Ahoy's fast and intuitive user interface is inspired by classic computing and has many customization options. Ahoy's software architecture enables thousands of documents to be handled without performance impact while maintaining file encryption, automated save and backup features, notification alerts and a deep undo history across all entries. This was achieved using a memory mirroring technique with lightweight worker-objects for a small memory footprint.
