Ultra Passwords Specifications
|
Store, generate, manage, and secure your passwords.
Ultra Passwords gives the user control over their password collection by storing it in a hidden, proprietary database powered by the Borland Database Engine. While mostly functional, the program doesn't seem to have the whole UI translated into English.
Ultra Passwords opens to a rather confusing interface where some information doesn't seem to be written in English, i.e. "Libelle" is a field that is not explained. The program requires that you choose a category for the secure Web site, type in your username, password, and Web site address, and then save that password in the database. Once you assign a category label to the Web site, it will be listed on the left-hand side of the window. You can navigate to the particular Web site by clicking on the link in the list. Oddly, this program forces you to use a "browser within a browser" in order to utilize its password security features. This program allows you to set a master password to access the database and also allows you to peek at the data source files. If you forget your password to a particular site, you can access it via the data files. The program, however, seems to have a bug. When you choose a particular category, you may or may not be able to navigate to another category or to one of the listed Web sites. If you are frozen out of that functionality, you must exit and restart the program. Help files are available, but only in video form without clear explanation.
