MP3 Convert Lord Specifications
|
Convert most media formats to MP3.
Since it's not difficult to find free, full-featured media converters these days, we find it hard to get excited about one this limited and poorly designed. MP3 Convert Lord's interface could be much simplified. For instance, we didn't like the file-tree interface for adding audio or video to the conversion queue; simple drag-and-drop functionality would be much better. The CD ripper--which can't retreive track information and doesn't even work in the demo--also has its quirks. We wonder why you have to view a CD's contents in one pane, then click a button to get the tracks into the conversion queue. Though the app can convert a good number of video formats into MP3, it lacks support for a few key audio codecs such as OGG and AAC. The demo also appears to disable the conversion of certain types of video files, and, though, you can choose the bit rate of your new MP3s, you can't use the space-saving VBR mode or output audio files in any other format. Folks who work with many types of video clips might test MP3 Convert Lord, but those primarily concerned with audio have many better options at their disposal.
