This ultrasimple application works like the pieces of paper you stick on your monitor, but it suffers from odd performance. Sticky Memo Note & Reminder Software has no dedicated interface; double-click the desktop icon and type your note in the resulting small, colored square. The menu of options is accessible via a right-click on the note. You can insert the date and time, save the note as a text file, send the note via e-mail, and set a reminder. We like the ability to customize the note's color, font, size, and translucency because an abundance of notes can easily clutter your screen. Though both features work, the e-mail feature was clunky, and the basic reminder feature displayed the wrong date. To add to our woes, we were taken to the publisher's site to order the program every time we created a note. Sticky Memo Note & Reminder Software can help you keep up with your lists, but its quirks may send you in search of a more stable application.
