With its seamless integration into Outlook, this utility makes managing file attachments easy. Outlook Attachment Sniffer works as a plug-in for Outlook 2000 or higher. You can extract any or all attachments in a specific Outlook folder to a project folder, making it easy to find individual files. The program also gives you the option to replace your attachments with aliases. This makes your e-mail file size smaller while still allowing you to find files by looking through archived e-mails. It's very useful if you have capacity limits on your e-mail accounts. We like the number of options for extracting files, such as file renaming. When you want to reunite the attachment with the e-mail, just use the Reimport OAS shortcuts function, and Attachment Sniffer will quickly replace the alias with the original file. The program also provides the ability to copy e-mails to another Outlook folder. Some may find useful the feature that lets you export messages in HTML, MHT, and EML formats. We found Outlook Attachment Sniffer very effective at what it does and think it would be well suited to those who deal with several attachments on a daily basis or those looking to reduce the size of their Outlook files.
